“Coordinating twenty-five countries to simultaneously combine all HR systems”
Help us merging two large organizations into one new company, particularly in the field of IT and HR.
The merger of coffee companies DE Master Blenders 1753 and Mondelez led to the formation of JDE. As a result, their staff doubled from six thousand to twelve thousand employees, across forty countries. To ensure that salary payments would run smoothly, over two hundred systems and all associated HR data had to be combined. JDE called in our help for this considerable task.
Fresh Forces formed the central team from the Netherlands, and we maintained contact with local teams in twenty-five countries across the world. Coordinating these many cultures and time zones is quite a challenge! First, together with those teams, we mapped all existing salary systems. We then discussed how we wanted these systems to function in the future. Next, all teams started building that system in their own countries, after which we performed extensive tests and went live.
In addition to the challenge of streamlining all salary payment systems, it also needed to be implemented at the same time by twenty-five teams around the world. Needless to say, when we went live and all twelve thousand employees received their salary correctly, we celebrated with champagne!
